Scanpyramids est une opération scientifique et technique internationale qui a permis la découverte d’une cavité inconnue dans la pyramide de Khéops grâce notamment à la technique de captation des muons. La mission ScanPyramids est une aventure scientifique d’intérêt mondial.
ScanPyramids est une mission internationale conçue et coordonnée par la faculté des ingénieurs de l’Université du Caire et l’institut français HIP. Elle. réunit plusieurs institutions scientifiques internationales dont le CEA (Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives/France), l’université de Nagoya (Japon), le KEK (High Energy Accelerator Research Organization – Tsukuba Japon), l’université Laval (Québec Canada), l’INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique – France), le CNRS (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique – France).

The mission ScanPyramids is a large-scale project involving non-destructive high level technologies of muons radiography which revealed a new cavity in the Great Pyramid of Giza. There will be a screening of a film as well as a conference at the Dôme with the support of the home grown organization itekube (man-machine interface) in partnership with the international mission HIP Institute which will further unveil their discoveries. There will also be a virtual reality experience large enough for 8 individuals that will be presented at the Dôme.
New partnering format, Correspondences associates external programming and development with the festival and permits us to open up the event to other configurations and meetings and other themes in conjunction with the universe that emerges through ]interstice[. Correspondences offers different proposals made with our partners and related to the intention of the festival.
