Cette soirée, première collaboration avec la salle des musiques actuelles Le Tetris au Havre, est l’opportunité d’y présenter les artistes Herman Kolgen, Martin Messier et Yro qui auront joué au Cargö à Caen le samedi 12 mai. Cette collaboration est le fruit d’un travail développé en commun pour la mise en œuvre d’une plateforme dédiée à la création numérique en Normandie. À cette occasion, nous présenterons publiquement ce projet ambitieux et Le Tetris dévoilera la programmation du festival EXHIBIT du 23 juin au 2 septembre en présence de son commissaire d’exposition Charles Carcopino. Ce temps fort sera marqué par une exposition grand format, façonnée autour de l’évolution du paysage à l’ère numérique, et ponctué de rencontres, performances et d’ateliers au sein d’un fablab. Niché au cœur d’un ancien fort militaire, réhabilité en friche culturelle foisonnante, EXHIBIT sera le point de départ d’un parcours pour découvrir les trésors cachés du Havre, au fil d’œuvres artistiques.
Plateforme de création numérique en Normandie
Ce qui définit aujourd’hui l’art numérique, ce n’est pas uniquement la technologie qui le constitue mais aussi sa manière spécifique d’être transversal, à la croisée de toutes les disciplines et de tous les domaines. Le but de cette plateforme est d’être au service de projets artistiques innovants portés par des artistes et des structures en Normandie.
Issue de la réunion de deux dynamiques portées par Station Mir à Caen et Le Tetris au Havre, la mise en œuvre d’une plateforme pour la création numérique en Normandie est le fruit d’une série de concertations d’acteurs culturels en Normandie depuis 2016.
Ces concertations qui ont réuni des acteurs très divers (spectacle vivant, arts plastiques, éducation, sciences, communication…) ont fait apparaître des besoins en matière de structuration, d’information, d’accompagnement à la création numérique en Normandie.
La création de cette plateforme vise plusieurs objectifs :
• Cartographie des lieux et structures liées à la création numérique en Normandie
• Ressources en direction des acteurs numériques.
• Préconisation en vue d’un ou de plusieurs événements à portée nationale et internationale sur le territoire Normand.
• Représentant de la Normandie dans les réseaux professionnels nationaux, européens et internationaux.
This evening highlights the first collaboration with the venue Le Tetris in Le Havre and is thus the opportunity to present the artists Herman Kolgen, Martin Messier and Yro who played in the few days leading up at Le Cargö in Caen on May 12th. This collaboration is the result of a work we have developed in hopes of creating a platform dedicated to digital art in Normandy. At this occasion, we officially present this ambitious project and Le Tetris will unveil the program for their EXHIBIT summer festival (from June 23th to September 2th) in presence of the curator Charles Carcopino. This milestone will be marked by a large exhibition about the evolution of the digital art landscape with meetings, performances and workshops inside the fablab. Taking place inside a former military base which now becomes a cultural space, EXHIBIT will be the starting point of an expedition to discover the hidden treasures of Le Havre, alongside the works of art.
Platform for digital art in Normandy
What defines digital art today is not just the technology it inhabits but also the particular way it is cross-disciplinary, reaching every realm. The aim of this platform is to support those innovative art projects in Normandy.
Born of the meeting of two initiatives, from Caen the Station Mir (festival ]interstice[) and in Le Havre with Le Tetris (festival EXHIBIT), this focus on digital art in Normandy is the result of many discussions with numerous professionals since 2016.
Over time we have assembled an inventory of artists and performers, producers, educators, scientists, distributors and venues and have developed information and recommendations for what is needed to encourage a large digital art festival in Normandy. Our further objective would be to represent the Normandy among national and international networks.
